Hello my friends,
Spring morphed into summer this week in Madison, reminding me that I’ve completed three months at the new job, vice president of corporate communications at Wisconsin Physicians Service (WPS).
I wanted you to know that I’m having a ball helping our charismatic chief executive, Mike Hamerlik, and the executive team re-engineer Wisconsin’s leading not-for-profit health insurer and top provider of affordable individual health plans. I also work with the WPS family of companies, including WPS Community Bank and EPIC Life Insurance.
This just in: Did you know that WPS is the health insurance carrier of the Packers?!
Husband Tom is well, and you can read about his miraculous recovery at the entry just below called “Defrosting.”
In other news, Sharon Chamberlain, my dear friend and colleague, is also in transition and would love to chat with you about her new business. Attached are her documents in case you haven’t had a chance to hear her exciting plans. Her email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please keep in touch. At WPS, my journalistic and community leadership skills are well employed. I lead marketing, communications, media relations, public relations, donations and sponsorships, corporate and employee events, social media, web marketing, and lead generation, among other duties.
After these many years as an executive, I still love the strategic efforts. My colleagues and I soon will debut a terrific strategic plan that will help our company, our employees and our communities. WPS will be well prepared to face the challenges of health care reform and the increasing role of government in our health care lives, including Medicare.
Please think of Sharon for your marketing research needs. Her new vista inspires us all!
